Been busy......

Posted by sproutgallery at 04:17 AM on February 18, 2010 Comments comments (0)

Havn't been blogging much lately -  have been really busy with organising Craftmad, the 1st market went really well and I looking forward to the next one which is on the 7th of March, www.craftmadhamilton.blogspot.com I have had a great response from the public and from potential stall holders so I now have a rather large waiting list! So for March I am hiring the covered court area next to the hall so we could be looking at 40 + stalls for March which is great!

We visited Raglan yesterday (we being my daughter and I) to check out the Raglan Markets and "recruit" some stalls for Craftmad which is starting next month, some cool stuff on show and I hope that some of the stallholders can make it to Craftmad,we then went to the beach for a paddle............was a very hot day.

Well what a busy weekend we just had - between Tamahere markets on Saturday and Kraftbomb on Sunday we have been pretty much left with no stock! Is going to be a busy January making more of the favourites and some new ideas we had just not enough time to finish for Christmas.

Merry Christmas and happy New Year everyone!!

A weekend with the digger

Well finally some progress in my pursuit of a sewing room! My kind hubby spent some hours on a digger this weekend gone to remove part of our front yard to make way for my little 1960's caravan which is being done up to become my sewing room (aka somewhere else to leave my mess other than the house) even my daughter got in on the act and spent some time 'helping dad'.

I was down on my hands and knees one day on the lounge floor drawing out some new ideas for softies on newspaper when my 3 1/2 year old wanted to do one as well - I handed her the vivid and she draw her monster softie and we made it (with help from nana) - above is the end result! simple yet functional - its great in her room for me to stick my head on when reading the bedtime stories!
